- I'm a dwarf with a heart. I was discovered in 1930 by the astronomer Clyde Tombaugh as the 9th planet but was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006. My friend Charon was discovered in 1978 and is the largest of my moons. Because we revolve around each other we are soetimes called "Double Planet."
